Bill Cosby’s former co-star Phylicia Rashad, who played the role of his wife on the hit family tv sitcom the Cosby show, took to Twitter to voice her reaction to Cosby’s conviction being overturned.
In a tweet posted with a photo of Cosby Rashad started, “ FINALLY!!!! A terrible wrong is being righted- a miscarriage of justice is corrected!”
Cosby has spent more than two years in prison after being convicted of a sexual assault from 2004 which he was charged with just 12 days before the statute of limitations expired.
Costs defense argued the prosecution was vague in trying to prove its case against Cosby.
On Wednesday 7-Pennsylvania supreme court judges argued Cosby was not given a fair trial in 2018. Therefore they overturned his conviction which grants Cosby his freedom.
