Body Found In Hueytown, Alabama Identified As Paighton Houston


Hueytown, AL- The Trussville Police Department has confirmed that the body found in a shallow grave behind a residence in Hueytown, AL has positively been identified as 29-year-old Paighton Houston.

According to the police department the cause of death has not yet been determined.

Police were given a tip on 1/2/2020 and began the search in this particular area for Houston until approximately 9:30 p.m. last night.

On today 1/3/2020 police resumed their search in which they discovered a female body wrapped in some type of cloth buried behind a house on Chapel Dr. in Hueytown.

Paighton disappeared last month on December 20, 2019.

According to a co-worker who allegedly visited a Birmingham bar earlier with Houston she received a text from Paighton that said she was with strangers and felt that she was in trouble.

The Trussville police department stated, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Houston Family as they begin their grieving process.”

They continued with, “The Jefferson County Sheriffs office is working the death investigation and our agency will continue to assist the JCSO.”
