Monroe, CT– Today marks seven years since the tragic school shooting occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary school claiming the lives of twenty bright students and six brave educators.
Taking place just eleven days before Christmas, the lone gunman entered the school doors of Sandy Hook Elementary school and turned what was a normal school day for children filled with bright smiles and giggles into a day that still haunts this nation.
The massacre occurred on December 14, 2012, the school has since began to rebuild and continues to move forward with educating and impacting the lives of many more students.
Today we are remembering a total of 12 girls, eight boys, and six heroic teachers whose instincts were to shelter their children all while sacrificing themselves.
